Our Stories
Why do we tell stories? In order to answer that question, we need to listen to other people and their experiences. Another means of sharing stories is through food. The dominant narrative of food is that it is meant to be used for energy and for the body. However, many people fail to realize there is more to food than just energy. It’s about a means of survival, a glimpse into someone’s life, and most of all, it’s a memorial that is passed down from generation to generation. Food brings people together. It’s a means of communicating with others about how they feel.
